LUCHA VEGAN VENDOR APPLICATION

Please use this form to apply to be a vendor at our upcoming Lucha Vegan market event, taking place on Sunday, November 3rd from 12 pm to 4 PM at Xoco House Gallery at 2317 W. 18th ST. Chicago, IL 60608.

 

[NOTE: Application Deadline is Monday, September 30th at 5 pm]

By day, the event will feature a 100% vegan indoor market filled with amazing food and drink options—as well as vendors selling their creations such as body care, jewelry, clothing, art, and more. 

​

The Market will be followed by the Main Event - a wrestling match brought to us by Galli Lucha Libre—a local promoter who presents a hybrid combination of traditional Lucha Libre and American Wrestling to give fans the best of both worlds. The festivities will conclude with music by Doors cover band The Lizard Kings!

 

  • All vendors are welcome to attend the main event free of charge (plus 1 guest)! A Friends & Family Discount will be available for additional tickets. 

 

  • Food vendors also have the option to stay to vend during the main event for an extra fee (see below for pricing). Doors will open for the ticketed event at 5 PM, with the wrestling kicking off at 6 PM, followed by music from (approximately) 9 PM - 11 PM.

The background: This event was envisioned by Diane and Oscar—owners of Mindful Baking and The Chunky Scone respectively—as a fun way to promote veganism. Lucha Libre literally translates into free fight or struggle, and Lucha Vegan represents our desire to fight for a healthier and more sustainable food system and to encourage awareness of the benefits of limiting and eliminating animal-based products.

The Fine Print - Payment and Participation Details

 VENDORS MUST FOLLOW THE ITINERARY: 

​

  • The table fee to participate in Lucha Vegan is $125 for all-day Food Vendors ($100 for market hours only) and $65 for Non-Food Vendors . Please note, that this fee MUST be paid upon application acceptance for your spot to be held. Only vendors who have paid will be included in promotional materials. An invoice will be sent via email once we review your application. Space is limited. If your preferred date is full, we will reach out to inquire if you'd like to apply for the alternative date if available.

  • NO REFUNDS. If you won't be able to attend the event, you are responsible for letting us know via email (mindfulbakingchicago@gmail.com) a minimum of 3 days in advance to receive credit towards a future event fee.

  • Non-profits such as animal sanctuaries are welcome to apply at no cost! Please note we have a limited number of non-profit spots per event. Email with questions.

  • Please come with your own tables to set up for this event, as the venue will not be providing them for us.  4-foot tables are required for makers, and we ask that tables be no bigger than 6 feet for any food vendor.

  • PLEASE LET US KNOW as soon as possible if your setup requires something else, and we will do our best to accommodate. Email mindfulbakingchicago@gmail.com with questions.

  • We are two small, independent, vegan businesses trying to support and promote other like-minded companies with these events. The Mindful Baking team, the Chunky Scone team, and the Galli Wrestling team will be heavily promoting this event, but we also need your help these types of events succeed! Please consider how you can help spread the word once you apply to participate. We encourage you to promote the event and your participation in the days leading up to the event and while the event is going on as well. This is a team effort!
