About the Owner
Diane Mejia was diagnosed with severe gluten intolerance over 5 years ago. She happened to be finishing up her pastry degree at the time. Rather than throw in the towel, she decided to make the effort to make pastries and baked goods that she could enjoy (without getting sick). Setting out on her quest to make gluten free baked goods, she also discovered the vibrant gluten free and vegan communities here in Chi town. She connected with all kinds of folks, gluten free, vegan and indifferent who loved her baked goods. So, she decided to put out her sign and see what happened.
The rest is history.

It's just cupcakes right? Why bother trying to be healthier, tastier and socially responsible?
Because you should feel good about what you eat, on every level.
You don’t have to worry about what goes into our baked goods. We use local and all natural ingredients. By sourcing less refined ingredients like, coconut sugar, and psyllium husk we maintain the highest standards of quality and make it healthier.
Not to mention that everything we make is both Gluten Free and Vegan. After years of testing, we’ve perfected just the right texture, to create a moist, tender and fresh taste. You won’t notice the difference, we promise.
We only use packaging that is 100% biodegradable and recyclable.
